GratiTUBE: Fly Away Penguin

A beautiful expression to the Joy of Giving:

A young boy helps his penguin friend defy gravity and fly. This is among my all-time favorite giving videos. I love the emotions that the animator has brought out in both the boy and the penguin. In the end the penguin is happy as it feels it can fly and the boy is sad as he knows the reality of life yet he is also happy because his friend is happy. This might just be the way I see it, but I loved it.

Sometime volunteering is projected as something grand as a sacrifice from normal life. But why should that be so? One doesn’t need to take time out to volunteer; it is simply a way of life. Every little act of kindness and giving is volunteering. It takes many forms – a smile, a hug or a sweet word. If we can capture them all in a bucket, I’m sure we will have a flood on our hands! 🙂 What do you say?
